What's Changing

Starting Monday, November 6, there will be changes to the parking lot and pick-up & drop-off area.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Access to the parking lot and pick-up & drop-off area on Farquhar Street will be available through the west entrance only.
  • This area has ten parking spots, including two accessible parking spots. This is the only customer pick-up & drop-off area at the station.
  • Please do not park your vehicle in this parking lot if it is at capacity.
  • Please do not park your vehicle in the pick-up & drop-off lanes.
  • Additional accessible parking is available by the station house.
  • Please see the map below.

Please be cautious near and around construction.

The construction schedule may be adjusted due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Door restrictions continue to be in place for 12 coach trains.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Trains that are 12 coaches long will only open doors at the accessible platform (mini-ramp) and east accessible platform.
  • Trains with 6, 8, and 10 coaches will open all doors.

When boarding at Guelph Central GO:

  • The platform screen displays the number of coaches for the approaching train.

  • Be attentive to station announcements.

When boarding at another station and exiting the train at Guelph Central GO:

  • Board coaches that are east of the accessibility (mini) ramp.

  • Be attentive to onboard train announcements, advising which coaches will open at Guelph Central GO.

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve your station.

How You’ll Benefit

GO Expansion will increase the frequency and number of GO trains across the rail network, reduce congestion and connect a growing region with fast, reliable transit options to get you where you need to go.

We’re preparing your station to accommodate more train service in the future by:

  • Building a new south platform
  • Modifying the current north platform to align with the south platform
  • Upgrading the storm sewer systems
